2013 MINI John Cooper Works

My Nikon D600 digital SLR camera actually saved my beloved 2013 Mini John Cooper Works from totally being totalled and this is the short-ish story.

The night before, I parked in my usual spot where I live in the Gay Village in Montréal, Canada. When I got out of the car, the tree was in my way and I could not access the rear seat where I had placed the camera as I had returned from a photography project of mine.

I was too lazy to walk around the JCW and access the camera from the passenger door so I got back in it and just moved a metre (3.3 feet) forward so that I could eventually get to the bag.

The following afternoon, I heard commotion on the street only to see that huge tree that had blocked my path to my camera all over the street and damaged two parked cars. Fortunately no one was hurt.

I remember it was an extremely windy day so that obviously rotten tree was on its last leg and would have totally crushed my MINI Cooper had I not moved it a metre forward the night before out of sheer laziness to fetch my Nikon D600 that was on the rear seat!
